90/90 will work on the front. However, they just look too big, and they are. Using too large a tire, on too narrow of a rim, changes the profile of the tire. I would go for the 90/90 for the rear, and a 80/90 front.

well i tried tiresunlimited today for a 80/90 front and a 90/90 rear and they said they can no longer get these sizes so i am off once again to look for tires. HE mentioned going with a little larger tire but i want it to fit correctly. he also stated that alot of tires were on national backorder.

looking on jcwhitney. what about these options, any input or experiences w. any of these

i also saw the tires from retro bike.com for $20 ea. but those look like no traction...
i called a few other places mentioned and noone seems to have this size.

Looks like the C180 3.00-18 for the rear, and the C265 2.75-18 for the front would be a good combo. The ribbed tire like this link matches the origional tread pattern, and is available in a 2.75-18

so since my options seem pretty limited on my budget http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Item ... 0000209014 and http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Item ... 0000209011 will be decent choices? the ribbed tires seem that they would provide very little traction. is this correct? this will not be an every day rider, mainly to just play around town on. also i know nothing about "ply" "load rating" will these be ok?

Those will work fine. The ribbed tires actually work better than they look like they'd work.

ok so i have the tires picked out and i went to the tubes. holy cow! how many tubes do they make? could you please reccomend me a tube for these tires. I would like to stick w/ jcwhitney to save shipping. i would like something decent for the tubes, i dont want a flat because i save $5 on a tube
