I don't think $2500 is ridiculous, but I think you can do better if you're patient. I was looking at a beat, but complete and rebuildable CL360 for $400 before I found my CL77 (which was less than $2K itself). I've seen some early '70s CL350's for reasonable prices - but of course you'll pay more for original parts and showroom quality. There was a project Dream up in Denver on Craigslist the other day for $500.
Since you're in the Springs, drop me a line when you find something. I'd love to know another local owner. I just got the plates for the CL today and hope to have it on the road by the end of the week - just need an axle nut, I hope.
