Wow! I wonder what the engineers at Honda were on when they dreamed up that little mess ?

LM,
Does the CL72 have a different switch that has spring attached to a hole in the plunger and the brake light goes on when the plunger is extended? (Like the CL77 Parts Catalog picture item 19 on page 58, Main Stand-Step Bar?) This is where my confusion is.

The CL72 uses the same switch but the cable stops at a chrome part mounted on the end of the swing arm bolt/shaft and there is another part at that point for the return spring to attach. ...........lm

my CL72 has a nifty little homemade stopper that stops it from retuning too far... !?!?!?

you can see the condition of my frame, I have finally gotten everything off, except the stop switch and the brake lever !

(I think I need to tone my camera down a bit to get smaller pics)

Thank you again LM for your watchful eye... Hopefully when the spring comes around I'll have accumulated enough parts to get this thing properly operational..

can anyone post some nice pics of a cb77 brake light switch assembly? i have a brand new switch from a 72 cb350 i had laying around the garage that im throwing in my cafe setup but the spring is way to long and was wondering what the spring looked like on the stock setup or even if it has a spring.
