CL77 Brake light switch setupCL77 Brake light switch setupDoes anyone have a picture or can you explain how the switch is setup? I am pretty sure there is a spring that keeps tension on it. I can see where the bottom hooks to but I dont know where to hook the top.
My CL 77 brake light switch is activated when the switch plunger is depressed and does not use a spring. I am confused because my Parts Catalog shows your style on the Main Stand-Step Bar page and my style is shown on the Wire Harness-Battery page and they both have the same part number 35350-273-000. Maybe someone can enlighten us both. The photo shows the switch plunger extended with the brake pedal depressed. With the brake off, the plunger is forced into its housing extinguishing the brake light.

Kevin,
There is a 2mm (.078") wire that has a u-shape to accept the spring that feeds thru a hole in the brake cable sleeve on the frame that is then bent so it doesn't come out. The wire also retains the brake cable as it has a groove in its ferrule. I can't find the part number in the Parts Catalog but it's easy enough to make. George
Keep in mind the CL72 isn't assembled this way. ...........lm
