apex rims

Post by 305 nutt » Wed Jul 09, 2008 10:11 pm

Has anyone had any experience with the rims from apex cycle? I bought a set for a superhawk, laced them up and the spokes are all bent from the hole angles being off. Has anyone tried these and had any luck? I'm going to email him and try to get a refund. nutt

You are NOT THE FIRST to have bought rims from Tom Day and found the spoke angle isn't correct and he's been told but continues to sell them. ............lm

He got me too. Sent me two rims, put them on the shelf for 6 mo's till I got around to installing them. No go. Contacted him, he didn't seem happy about me wanting to return them so I put back on the shelf. BOL

At this time he is offering a set on eBay. And to think he knows they are not usable/safe when installed on the CB72/77 hubs. Think he's a crook??????????. ..........lm

He told me to take a screwdriver and bend the angles a little more. Yeah lets unlace bend the holes, relace, oops one didn't work, so lets unlace again etc etc etc. what a joke.

Wow, what horrible customer service. I will be sure to stay away from his products. Thanks for the info.
