the handlebars are just $18 7/8" drag bars, most shops can order them. i cut them down 1.5 inches on each end with a tubing cutter, to suit she scale of the dream. i used a $12(eBay)BSA/triumph throttle twist grip(to avoid slotting the handlebars), and drilled them for the wiring.

next time though, i think i will be bucks ahead to have a machine shop mill a slot in the bar for the dream twist grip. i had it done to a Honda s90, and it worked slick. i took them my original bar for measurement. that was like $20.

otherwise, a superhawk twist grip would be the best way to go.(eBay $20-$100)

hi guys, the superhawk cable came in, and boy is it short! if i hadn't shortened my bars originally,
and have a post 1965 bike, it would have been too short. i did, and do though. it fit perfectly!
on the pre 1965 bikes, i think you can hide excess cable inside the body.
here are pics of pre and post 1965 clutch cable arrangements, so you can see what i'm talking about.

i got my drag bars today. 28" wide. im hoping i can use the existing cable. the only problem i see is the chrome tubing on the clutch cable and the brake cable at the lever. i might have to bend it to make it fit. ill have the bar in the shop on Monday to get the slot cut out.
