One more addition to Joe's description, some early CBs were called Type 2 and had 360 cranks and two carbs. The point cover on right side of head said TYPE 2. Cliff C

Go to the Market Place at this site and get Bill Silvers Restoration Guide and the Engine Guide and it will tell you most everything you need to know. The rest you can get or get finer detail at this forum. Happy riding!

Is there any data sources showing how many of each model were either produced or sold in particular countries per year?

I see many more 1967's and 1968's and didn't know if it was just coincidence.
