What is the right PN for spokes?

Post by gac123 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 7:11 pm

I'm doing a total rebuild on the wheels for my 65 CB77. I've rechromed the rims, stripped, polished, and clearcoated the hubs and purchased new spokes. As I went to reasemble the front I noticed that the spoke "A" that I bought from the local dealer in official looking Honda bags are about 13cm to the crook where the originals are 15cm. That can't be right. They are shorter than the rusty originals that I took off. I ordered them using the part number that I got from Silver's CD parts manual. 97287-521041. Is the manual wrong or were the parts packed in the wrong bags? What do I need?

Sounds like the wrong spokes! here's the part #s that i have ordered, and used.

Front A 97422-43140-1

Front B 97547-43138-1

Rear A 97422-52138-1

Rear B 97682-52133-1

Dave,
I'm going with your recommendation. It matched the fiche in the cmsl site. The Silver CD is wrong for front spoke A. When I search by that number in the cmsl site I get a spoke for a dream.

Thanks,

Greg

May be wrong, but didn't Dreams have 16" wheels?

Yes, they do have 16" wheels, but smaller hubs..... so spoke length could be close or same.
