Post by heyitstim » Fri Jul 04, 2008 12:26 am

What size ir how many sizes were made in 1966? Motor sizes? Does the 72 indicate motor size 72cc? The vin#is 1011649. I would really like to know more about this bike. What are the demension sizes and weight of this bike. I will post a Pic soon. I could not find a link anywhere that I could research to get more information. If you can help let me know.

You may want to order a manual, but CA72 is a 250cc(actually 247cc) Honda Dream.Actually you can see the cc's of the bike on the engine near the starter if you look close enough. These are basically the same as the 305 CA77 bike. They are about 360 #'s.

Do you have a photo you could post.According to the VIN it should be a 65' or 66'.Reccomend you buy some manuals and Bill Silvers restoration CD and read old posts on here to learn more.Joe

Is this a CA72? Notice the signal lights, are they original to this bike? Doe it look factory or aftermarket?

CA77's and CA72's look alike, but if the frame and engine #'s start with CA72 then it is a CA72.No the turn signals do not appear original.I believe US models did not come with turn signals. If you want to see factory signals look in the restoration threads under rebirth of a CA78 I believe and look at " 4Shorts" red dream he restored.I believe it has factory turn signals on it.Also, I believe your honda emblems on the gas tank are on the wrong sides.Wing should point backward.Might want to fix that.
