Rear Fender cl77

Post by Bolphur » Sun Jun 29, 2008 7:54 pm

I helping my dad restore his old bike (65 CL77). He's had the bike for a while. One of the things he did was chop the rear fender off, up by the tail light. He wished he never did that and wants to fix it. Is there a way to add that back on. Maybe someone has a beat up one lying around that I could weld back on. Or does any one know where I might find a cheap fender. While I'm here I need to find the rubber bushings for the gas tank as well. Any advice would be great.

ebay is a miraculous resource. with a little patience you can find fenders there for varying prices.
dont' be afraid to pick up a rusty/beat up one. Pretty easy although time consuming to get it looking great.

I'd put a craigslist wanted ad in your area as well if that's possible.

Put a note in the classifieds. And if your patient keep watching ebay. I got a rear fender a while back. I didnt even have one on my bike. The parts seem to come around every so often on ebay but some can get expensive.
