nice charging upgrade, not a bad price. Is it reality?

previous owner of my bike did that as well...
judging by the ca72 stamp on it, i figure as much anyways. I'm uneducated on any of this, first time with a bike engine.

CA72 ya say. I hope it's on a DREAM single point engine. HONDA lowered the magnetism of the rotor when they issued the CB72 (L) due to overcharge of the battery with the CB72 rotor. I chuckle at times as I read of charging problems with these bikes cause I rode many many miles day and night in the 60's and never had a charge/dead battery problem. That said I installed the CB72 rotor in my 1963 CB77 and the battery stays charged as long as I ride often. ................lm

cb72. not thinking while typing again. there is another letter or number there as well... i don't remember for sure though.

So...... the 350 stator will mount in the 305 aluminum housing with a little wiring harness modifying, it can be slid through the housing and cases. That said, we were unable to get enough juice out of it to run the bike. Mind, this is a cafe' running a battery eliminator. We also tried using a complete 350 harness, with rectifier, regulator etc, but the specimen we had was pretty botched up, so no luck there either. It would only faintly light the test light when kicked over. It may have been due to several things, but so far nothing conclusive. I wil definatey pursue this more and let you all know if if works out!

Has anyone on here actually used the stator & regulator/rectifier kit from Rick's Motorsport Electrics? Results?

from what I understand from the many posts on the subject, If I were to come by and install the first version rotor magnet (CB72) - showing no "L" next to it, the charge coming from that rotor will be stronger and sooner.

But If I have interrupted the spending of stored charged as designed by changing the taillight to and LED cluster, and added the solid state rectifier (which shouldn't matter to this scenario) I run the risk of overcharging my battery.

can anyone verify or debunk these statements?

Also, from what I can tell my diagrams and looking into the mechanism is that it should be a simple thing to do?
