CB160 brakes.

Post by Gun » Sat Jun 14, 2008 6:08 pm

The brake shoe obviously broke off here, and i'll be replacing all of them , but this white corrosion, anyone have any ideas what its from?

the engine looked to be covered slightly with a similar substance prior to my cleaning it, since then i've wondered what might have led to it.

Aluminum oxide maybe. Mine were like that too.
I don't see where it is broken.

I need to rework mine too, just noticed they aint too strong.

oh, it's just the actual surface area of the shoe that broke and chipped off. the shoe itself is fine.
