here's a dumb question about tubes/tires

Post by allthumbs » Thu May 08, 2008 9:33 am

I'm looking at the Cheng Shin Hi-Max C907 rear & Cheng Shin Hi-Max C906 front tires. they are tubeless design. do I have to upgrade my rims to use these or is there a way to use them on stock rims?

I told you it was stupid.

Thanks in advance

I would think you could just use a tube.

I really can't think the stock rims would hold air, I would just use a tube.

Well, these tires came and on the tire itself it says, among other things, 3.00/3.25

Also, since the front and back are 90/90's I am beginning to doubt my decision. Is there a problem with both being the same size?

80/90's are near impossible to find, there is an Avon but the rating is different as is the tread style

any thoughts?

If I remember correctly the stock rim size front and rear is 1.85 X 18, 36 spokes. Cliff
