Can this stand be saved

Post by gac123 » Fri May 02, 2008 8:19 pm

As I started to disassemble my "find" I noticed that on one side it was sitting not on the stand but instead on the outrigger. It doesn't look bent but must be. Any hints on how and how much to bend it back. i assume that heat will be involved.

Nope see no problem with it that bend is part of the toe kick to put your foot on.

So, why didn't the bike sit on the right foot ( as seen in the picture)? I don't believe that the stand should be able to stand up by itself. Wouldn't a normal stand fall backward?

Oh well you have a point but I cant see that in the photo and I am not sure if mine would stand or not looking at it edge wise is should be flat and not one steped out and one steped in if so yes id put it in a vice and heat it up and twist it back maybe use a pipe over it.
Sorry I thought you was looking at the toe kick its a little bent down I think but not bad.
