Honda Dream Engine and Frame #

I am new and still trying to figure out things. I have a 1964 Honda Dream with an Engine # CA77E and a Frame # CA78 number. When looking for parts on E bay I see a lot of CA77 stuff but nothing related to the CA 78 frame #. I am assuming that when looking for parts the Engine # is used over the Frame #. Is this true?

try using both when you can, but if it's engine parts you need, use the engine number first and vice versia for the frame. <br /><br />also try getting pics of the part to identify if it is correct. i have problems with parts even though i use modle number, stuff still comes in wrong.<br /><br />good luck.

no problem,<br /><br />i wouldn't say i know a lot about them, however i feel that i do know enough to answer questions on here. I just got done restoring my 65 dream so i thought i would help some people on here b4 i forget everythign.<br /><br />

I just bought this 64 dream a few months ago. I owned a dream when I was in high school and have many fond and not so fond memories. I am looking forward to restoring it. I havent decided how much I am going to spend. I have already bought a bunch of stuff off EBay. I still need New cables , the gray ones with the chrome metal tubes and mirrors. Are the oringinal mirrors square or round? I will have lots of questions as I go along. Thanks Mike
