Carb bodiesCarb bodiesHi
Are the carb bodies same for all years & models (CB77, CB72, CL72, CL72)? I have two left side carbs. Need to get a right side body to match up. /T
Re: Carb bodiesThere are two styles. The earlier ones had a more rounded appearance (see https://www.nospartsnow.com/vintage-use ... 1-275-000/) than the later ones (see https://www.nospartsnow.com/nos-honda-c ... -275-000/). I think that the change happened rather early as I have never seen one.
Re: Carb bodiesThese carbs show up on eBay often. Here are two RH carbs:

Re: Carb bodiesThanks!
I saw some carbs & carb bodies for sale pulled from CB72. Those will then fit CB77 with correct jettings.
Re: Carb bodiesAs far as I know they are exactly the same. That is, no re-jetting should be necessary but you might want to check that. I think the engines are the same in every way that matters.
Re: Carb bodiesHere's an older Honda305.com post with good jetting info:

Re: Carb bodiesCB72's and CL72 used PW22 carbs with the 22 meaning the venturi is 22 mm. CB77's and CL77's used PW26 carbs with a 26mm venturi. There may be a slight problem with performance when using a PW22 on either CB77 or CL77.
