Shifting ProblemsShifting ProblemsGot the cases apart and can not find my shifting problem. It shifts into first ok but will not go into second. It like it goes into a neutral.
I did find one of the small Roller (5x6.25) in the bottom of the case. I think there should be 13 rollers. Could that cause a shifting problem? I took pictures. I have a 1965 cB77E. Pictures are too large to post. Is jpg the only picture extension allowed? Thanks for any help. Bill 1965 Honda CB77 Super Hawk
Re: Shifting ProblemsThe photos provide good detail, however no defects are obvious when viewing from here.
If you have access to the Honda shop manual, it will show the Function of Transmission and include photo schematics of power transmission paths and gear position for each selected gear N - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4. These schematics would help to identify any power transmission issues. Nice work getting the stubborn cases spilt. Any special procedures used; e,g., where was heat applied/how much and where was the rubber mallet used? 1967 CL77 305 Scrambler
