Firing on right cylinder only

Take the master link off, an attach two pieces of wire to the chain to keep it from getting lost. There is a small"O" stamped in the cam sprocket, it points up with the crank at TDC.

Well i got it apart. the piston on the weak side looks like it had a little grief at one time.It looks like someone had to smooth out the area where the rings go. It does not look to bad though.another thing i found was that the piston on the weak side also had a taller dome on the top than the other one?? So know i am not sure which one is the right one for this bike (67 scrambler) the higher comp. one or the lower?

The dream engines are lower compression, with lower piston domes.

They are not.
The piston isn't cut away like the CB/CL piston and the Dome in the same height as the CB/CL piston (put one of each on the same wrist pin and you will see they are the same height) so the piston actually raises the compression when installed in a CB/CL 305 engine.
The lower compression is because the head is deeper and the valves are smaller. ...............lm

Now i am all confused.There is definetly a difference between the two. They both have ART and CB77 on the sides of them.When i set the two side by side on the table there is a height difference.Would one cylinder have more compression than the other then?? I there a difference in comp. between the cb and cl?? Thank you for the help guys.

The CB and CL use the same pistons.
The DREAM uses a different piston.
You compare the piston height by placing "a" wrist pin in one of each and then compare the height.
I did that and found the height was the same so I put a CB in one cylinder and a DREAM in the other and used a gauged syringe and each piston was the same height I counted the amount used to get the fluid to the top level.
The CB too more fluid than the DREAM.
I then measured the CB head fluid against the DREAM head and the DREAM took a LOT more fluid.
Why did I do this?
All my HONDA days I heard the DREAM has less compression and EVERYONE
knows it the PISTON!

According to all of Honda's literature, the compression is lower on the Dream motor, even though the dome height is similar, the profile/shape is obviously different.

I agree with Mike in Idaho, and decided it would be best if I did my own test on these two combustion chambers, to determine the precise volume of each. After performing a side-by-side test of a CB/CL 77 and a CA77 chamber, using a burette of course, it turns out that the volume in the CB/CL 77 and CA 77 is virtually the same measuring 31.5 CCs. This is somewhat of a surprise, knowing that the Dream intake valve is slightly smaller.
