3" from inside to arrow, mine is a 66 btw

mine is the same....maybe your frame slot is bent out a little?

Tried a few things today but nothing seems to make up 1/2".

Maybe hitting the battery or cables?

Thanks for staying with this brewsky but it seems to me that the lip on the cover where it locates into the battery tray is what determines how far it will go back towards the frame.

That should be true. Does the top screw tighten all the way against the frame?

Reading this post it looks as if the site will accept attachments again now? Slowly getting back to normal.

I think the 'old' site had something like Captcha as a security feature but it had been disabled long ago..

A lot of the good features of the original site had disappeared over time, hopefully they will all find their way back eventually, we must be patient, huge changes in the last week.
