The wiring on my 1966 US spec CB77 seems to be set up to have the rear light on permanently and the front light switched..... is this how US bikes were originally wired?
I assume that it would not be legal in the UK to run with the rear light on but not the front so either I have to switch the front light on permanently or run a wire from front to back to feed the rear light off the front lighting switch rather than off the ignition switch?

Lighting on US model CB77
Good point Geoff.
I have just been out to check and now the light is not coming on! To get the parking light to work I have to wiggle the key about a bit so maybe the ignition switch is just a bit tired and it was sticking or could have been that the brake light switch was sticking. Either way looks as if wiring is not the problem. Thanks Greg
