Just picked up a 67 CB77. Bike has chrome side covers and headlamp bucket. These appear to be added by the dealer as are very well done and suitability aged. It also has a chrome plated frame handle. Has anyone come across similar additions by a dealer or even from the factory? thanks Re: New Member with 1967 CB77 with Dealer Chrome Options?Back in the day it was popular to get parts chromed. Whether requested by the dealer or the owner it would have still been done at a chrome shop so the quality would be the same.
My 1961 CB72 had chrome air cleaner covers and chain guard but my money is on the owner having it done. G

Your bike has some serious Patina! Re: New Member with 1967 CB77 with Dealer Chrome Options?Entirely your choice. If you're building it to sell, an original look works best. Otherwise, preserving a moment in time is equally vald and preserves the bike's own history.

So he painted some two-tone (blue and white). They looked factory, but were done in his shop, and I bought one of them. I guess even back then paint was cheaper than chrome! 66 dream, 78 cb750k, 02fz1, 09 wing
Re: New Member with 1967 CB77 with Dealer Chrome Options? At the cost of paint versus chrome I think you would be wise to Paint/CHROME as HONDA did. .......................lm
