Pistons?

Post by Dick Eastman » Sun Dec 06, 2015 8:10 pm

Has anyone had experience with Kenig pistons? All that I know is that they were an aftermarket piston for racing applications with a 10.5:1 compression, when cb77s were on the tracks.
Also, I need some .25mm and .75mm rings for some cb77 pistons I have.
Thanks,
Dick

I have not used them in any rebuilds I have done but I have worked on a bike that had them. I found on one side that the piston dome came in contact with the spark plug electrode. Bike would start and run but then stop running on one side when the gap closed up.

Are these then high compression pistons that must have working clearances set because they are domed so high?
Didn't the early Super Hawks have a higher compression ratio than the later models? Was there a reason Honda decreased the CR?

I don't really know. Have not set up a set of them.

I'm sure someone on here has used them.

I did find out Kenig pistons are made in Italy, and use oem Honda rings.
