305 Head Gasket-What Caused This?

I'm on board with ya davo. Just picked up some hondabond today, I'll order up my gasket and get to it. Thanks for you all's input. I LOVE this site and those who use it! Thanks again...

S65 cyl to head seal. I am very familiar with them. I have a buch, and see what the fit look like. They are flat, not an o-ring, definately much thicker than the stock o-rings.

Yeah but under compression, will they fill the space too much and force the gasket apart?
