Where is the CL77 crankcase vent/breather

Yes, confirmed the head mounted vent. And yes I agree that the port on the right case under the side cover is for dumping water that collects in the valley under the tin cover.

There is, also an approx 1/8" hole above and slightly aft of the countershaft sprocket. goes from inside the side cover to outside air. never have figured out what that is there for. knowing Honda, there is some purpose. doesn't appear to be a manufacturing thing so?

Well, I need to eat a little crow here. Although that hole near the primary does dump water out of the valley, it is also where the crankcase vent line should be routed. The oil vapor will oil the chain. I'm back home and pulled the tin cover off the engine and sure enough, mine is routed to that hole.

Funny how you forget details like this when you don't work on them all the time (and have gray hair).
