There have been a number of posts here on strip down and repair. Alternatively there is a company in Sandiego that repair Honda speedos. http://www.foreignspeedoinc.com/ The hardest part is removing the bezel which must be carefully prised up using successively larger screwdrivers. After that it is pretty straightforward. What bike do you have? G

Re: Speedo needle broke!!!Usually requires a replacement.. ...........lm
Broke SpeedoMy CA77 speedo needle did the same thing. It was caused by the speedo cable nut coming loose where it attaches to bottom of speedo.
I took it all apart, replaced the needle with a needle off an old pressure gauge and also lubed the odometer gears while I had it apart. Doesn't look factory but will do for now till I find a OEM part. 68' 305 Dream, 75' Honda 750-four, 74' Honda CL 125, 72' Honda CA 70, 80' Honda Passport, 74' Aerimachi Harley Sprint 125, 64' Yamaha 90.
