CL72 to CB/CL77 engine differences

Post by dickinraleigh » Wed Feb 06, 2008 9:51 pm

It has been 30+ years since I wrenched on a 305. Forgot alot of stuff. I recently picked up the remains of a $20 CL72. What I need to know is if the 305 carbs and spacers from a CL or CB77 will work. Will need a CB72/77 kicker side cover, points cover, and electric start parts. Going to install engine in a Superhawk chassis someday. I am a big time CX/GL500 owner. See
