First year for the 305First year for the 305Hello everyone. I’ve always wanted a 305 dream and I have found one locally that I want to get. I’m not sure of the year though. Owner claims it is a 60. What was the first year these were made in the US.
Re: First year for the 305I have a 1960 Dream that came from California. That was the first year I believe.
If you check the numbers - they will give you a clue as to the year of the bike. The frame number on mine is C77-A10268. That type of numbering was only used for 1960. In '61, the "A" became part of the first part of the number - CA77 - 1xxxxx. You'll find the frame number on the left-hand side below the swing-arm pivot near the stand pivot. G

This one will be built as a pair with a flat bar 1960 C72. I have to clear a few other projects before I can really start on them. G
