Looking for a CB77 in Ontario, Canada
Looking for a CB77 in Ontario, CanadaHello all,
I am in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada and am looking for a 60's Honda CB77 Superhawk. Only problem is, short of tripping over one in the bike traders...not very likely...I haven't a clue where to start. Any ideas? Thanx all!!

Phaedrus
Re: Looking for a CB77 in Ontario, Canadajust bought mine off of ebay.. i live in WI and bought mine from a guy in Milwaukee so there are some up north, just gotta be patient!
Re: Looking for a CB77 in Ontario, CanadaPhaedrus -
About 2 years ago there seemed to be bunches of mid-1960's Hondas coming out of garages and into the market every month. But that glut seems to have dried up for the last twelve months. in the past I've had some luck finding mid-60's Hondas at these locations (but nothing much recently):

1. Walneck's Cycle Trader and Buzz Walneck himself in Chicago.
2. www.bradsbikes.com (check his "recent sale section" you'll see he gets a lot of 60's Honda/Yamaha/etc sold on his site. The prices listed as "sold at" may actually be the asking price not the sale price which may have been slightly lower; although I personally know of at least one 305 Dream he listed on site to sell at $2600 but it sold thru a local paper ad for almost $4000!). Brad can get bikes delivered to Port Huron Mich (across from Sarnia) for @ $400 - I'm not sure about getting them across bridge to you in Strathroy.
3. www.classicjapanesemotorcycles.com (this guy is in Ohio and he's had a Super Hawk posted for sale for several months now for $3499 - I believe that's awful high and I don't know if he'll come down to a realistic price).
4. Cycle Trader on-line website
5. ebay

Good luck.
Bill Gray
Re: Looking for a CB77 in Ontario, CanadaThanx for the help Bill.

Getting an older cycle across the border is easier than a late model, although the border wants 3days to do a title search. This can get tricky.

Joe
