SPEEDOMETER

Post by cushmanscooter » Wed Jun 29, 2016 8:30 pm

Hey all, This is a repost of an old question which I never got answered. Still would like to know the speedometer "RATIO" of the 305 Dream. Not being a purist, I am attempting to come up with a suitable (to me) replacement speedometer. If anyone already knows of an alternate speedometer, that info would be appreciated as well. Thanks, Hal

Sorry, can't help with the ratio question but maybe a suggestion for a replacement...

I think a snazzy gps type speedometer/tachometer might be pretty cool.
I bet you could gut one of the available mini guages and fit it into a Dream speedo.
The tachometer options are pretty neat as they measure revs through electrical current or something like that:

edit:
the link above is not GPS but magnetic (like a bicycle speedometer).
tachometer connects to ignition coil.
