CB77 Rear Axle Wanted - FOUNDCB77 Rear Axle Wanted - FOUNDEdit: FOUND!
I'm pretty good at finding parts and I have a bunch of sources, but finding a NOS or very good used rear axle for a CB77 (part number 42301-268-000) has eluded me. Mine is beat up and looks as if someone took a pipe wrench to it. ebay options are many, but in just as bad a condition. If anyone has a good one to spare, I'd appreciate it. Payment by PayPal or USPS money order. Mine, even after wire brushing the heck out of it. The other end is almost as bad from the bike being dropped.

Re: CB77 Rear Axle WantedI'll have a look tomorrow. We're suffering a nasty cold snap here again.

I've found a vendor in the UK that sells reproductions in 431 stainless steel. They're actually a few dollars cheaper than a NOS original from CMS - if CMS had them. I hope your cold snap passes quickly so that we can see your progress on the Gilera and the CB72. We're about to be hit with our 4th major storm in 2 weeks. A 5th is already a possibility. My little generator is getting a workout this month - we've lost power with each storm. Re: CB77 Rear Axle WantedSeadog
You are always welcome. It sounds like you have discovered Phil Denton Engineering. They used to do restoration work for Mike Buttinger at CMS. I saw a lovely CR71 there a few years back. G

What great stock. I’ve just finished mounting a new knee pad from Clauss Studios onto a NOS side panel. What a bear of a job. I’m not looking forward to doing the second one tomorrow. The old hands aren’t what they used to be. Re: CB77 Rear Axle WantedSeadog
Some hot soapy water might help. Get the rubber nice and warm, first. G
