crankshaft 20mm lock nut

Post by bmarshall629 » Tue Jan 22, 2008 12:58 pm

this is the part number of what I'm talking about
90231-259-010 CRANKSHAFT NUT 20mm
There has to be a way to get this thing to loosen, I've tried everything and anything so if there is some special tool or method that I don't have or thought of yet, could use some help here.

Thanks,
Brian

This nut has normal thread direction. I use a soft flat (ground flat on my bench grinder) chisel and a medium size hammer and knock it to the left. ...........lm

thanks LM, I've tried that and it's still not budging, I have wacked the crap out of it. I'm debating cutting the primary drive chain. Any other ideas, if not, I guess it's cutting time

I've had some tough ones but have just hit it until I get it loose.
What ya plan to when the only thing there that holds it in place is gone. ...................emo

still nothing, is there any special socket or tool? Or recommendations on how to cut it off. Really have run out of options on this one.
