Which crankshaft seal?

Post by GregMcN » Mon Oct 09, 2017 3:17 pm

Bought a new set of seals for my CB77 but when I came to replace the crankshaft seal I found the replacement was not the same as the one that was fitted. Question is which is the right one.
Thanks Greg

If your CB77 is standard with a starter motor fitted you need the seal with the big hole in it, the one with the small hole is for the CL model which doesn't have the starter motor

Thanks DJM

Very annoying as purchased as CB77 compliant from USA and already stung with UK postal handling charges.

Are all the other seals for the CL77 the same?

Greg,

Yes all the other seals are the same,

I may have a NOS CB77 seal spare if you're interested.
