Hey Folks

Here is a couple of pics of my Scrambler. It was originally Silver/black but the tank and fenders got painted blue. I had to boil the gunk out of the tank so I got it repainted the right color. Bike runs great and I was lucky enough to get my hands on an 8"brake setup for it so I will have some parts for sale. I do have a spare tank which is pretty good on the inside and could use some repairs on the outside. I could use a front fender brace and front fender for an 8" brake setup unless the fender is the same. I am glad to be a part of this forum. I would be interested in chatting with anyone in the Wisconsin Area or anyone in general about 305's > My love for them goes back to 1967 when I bought my first one brand new.

Yes I have both wheels complete and the front fork setup. I do need a front fender brace and possibly a front fender depending on whether the fender are interchangable or not. Both sets of rims have some rust, at one point I would liek to find better rims or get these rechromed it is cost effective.
I will keep posting pics as I progress and soon I will have alist of parts I need and a list that I want to sell or trade.

I rode 2 CL72 bikes with the same brakes you have back in the early 60's and never a problem.

Well I got the bike from my brother in law and he stated that it didnt stop well at all. I rode this bike when he first got it back in the late 60's all I remember is that the one I had (1967) Just seemed like alot nicer bike at the time and it was only a year newer. I can't remember if it stoped well or not. As long as I have the larger brakes and fork setup I am going to change it over. I amy try to make a fender brace if I can't find one as I have alot of metal working tools.
