Wanted - CB77 Mid Height HandlebarWanted - CB77 Mid Height HandlebarAnyone have or know where I could find the mid-height handlebars for my CB77? I found one eBay offering, but it's badly rusted.
Ideas? Thanks, G. I'm not opposed to using bars from a different bike/year, but I'd like to find something very similar to original Superhawk bars. My main obstacle is that I don't know the stock SH bar rise, pullback and width for the low, mid or high bars. I've searched for that information, but without success. I'll keep looking.
mid barsHi seadog
I don't know if these are high or mid but I plan on going to a flat bar. Let me know if this is what you re looking for. http://www.honda305.com/forums/64-cb77- ... 36848.html 67' CB77

Re: mid barsThat's the hi-high bar, Merz; very commonly-spec'd in Canada. I did post all three, for reference, some years ago here; I'll see if I can find the thread... Interestingly, yours there, in those images, has the '66> seat and the European/ROTW taillight, but no turn signals. OK, EDIT 1: http://www.honda305.com/forums/post6139 ... ght=#61399 And EDIT 2, with cable lengths' info: http://www.honda305.com/forums/cable-le ... =handlebar Errr, EDIT 3: Just remembered that the model with turn signals would be a CP77! Thank you both for your posts. From what e3Steve has stated - and please correct me if I'm wrong - it seems there there are 3 bar types to be commonly found in the U.S.: a low, flat bar; a higher "mid-rise" bar (Type I?), and; an even higher mid-rise bar that is known as a Type II. Additionally, in Canada and perhaps also on CP77s, a high-rise bar - I'm assuming these last are both the same.
I presently have CL bar which, I"m guessing, was put on after the bike was purchased to provide a more upright riding posture. From photos of CB77s I've seen on the Internet, this seems to have been a common switch-over for U.S. riders. The Canadian style high-rise bar appear to be closer in dimension to the CL bar. While I find the CL bar to be comfortable enough, I guess I'm also shallow enough to give in a little bit to form over function for the sake of authenticity. A comprimise would be the Type II mid-rise bar. Not knowing the difference in dimensions between those two mid-rise types is a problem in searching them out. If anyone has information about that, I'd very much appreciate hearing it.
