CB72 woes - Crank case
I see what you describe very often.
Actually I would like to see under the oil filter and clutch. I offer that clutch which I machine and make ready for a good ride. ................lm
Here you go LM. The engine is now split so if you need to see a particular feature you will have to let me know and I will take some new pictures.
How much for the clutch please. I have not yet measured or checked the original plates so may have to spend more anyway :-( Almost getting near selling the children (at 31 and 26 they get most upset by this)
Thank you again.
This case has the early lower case. The issue without the Primary Chain Tensioner. I recommend you install the issue with the tensioner as it was installed to lessen the chain whip. Any of the later cases will install perfectly. ...............lm
Lower engine case damageI have had a go at soda blasting the lower crank case only to reveal more destruction. I am guessing this is more damage from earlier attempts to work on this engine. It may explain why the alternator was covered in oil as it probably acted as a crankcase pressure vent. Another case for JB Weld?
Re: Lower engine case damageThat is the reason oil was there.
Did you read my above statement?. ..............lm
Crank caseHi LM. yes I did but I have not been able to locate one along with the tensioner gubbins so I have to go with what I have.
