There are wires for the tail lamp and stop lamp, but both need a ground. That may be matal-to-metal or it may be a short ground strap.

G-Man, here's a video of the issue:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWzbAU65_58

There's only one ground that I can see in the tail light, it attached the socket ring to the metal bracket that screws onto the painted bracket. There's two hot wires coming out of the bulb, one attaches to the brake light switch the other into the hot (running, I assume).

I tried showing my 3 frame ground points, as well.

Any other suggestions?

As for the tail light did you check for continuity of the LP bracket to the fender?
That bracket on a white DREAM came black. ..............lm

I will check that when I get out there tonight, Ed!

I know it came black but with the brown accents of the seat/handelbar grips I thought I'd just do it all uniformly white.

Interesting

Take a piece of wire and connect the frame ground near the battery to the headlamp bucket.

That will tell you if the group connection across your headstock is bad.

It is a strange kind of flicker. Almost like the bulb is connected to a flasher unit....

So, tried a few things tonight.

I tried disconnecting the headlight ground and just running the tail light with a ground wire from battery frame connection to the tail light bracket. It would stay on fine until I pulled the brake lamp switch and then it would light for awhile and start it's flickering again.

Next, I disconnected the tail light and tail light switch and left the headlight plugged in.

The headlight did not flicker until I turned it onto high beam, then it began to flicker.

I tried running a ground wire from the headlight bulb socket straight to the battery frame ground as well and it didn't seem to make a difference.

I'm thinking of retracing all of my wiring to see what might not be connected correctly, for all intents and purposes it's connected everywhere as all functions are working correctly.

Well....sort of.
