.28mm is halfway between .2mm and .4mm.
Looks good to me.

Honda says CB77 cylinder sleeves should be 60mm and my cylinder sleeves measure 60mm.
My wiseco brand piston rings are so new they smell like similac.
Honda says my piston ring gap size is obnoxiously out of standard..
Crap... Once again, I was looking at the wrong specs! That damn asterisk! CB77's can have a ring gap between .2 and .4mm. My max is .28mm

G,
I retracted my numbers on the last page. My feeler gauge wasnt reading .28mm, it was reading .028 in (.70mm). This is very concerning, and I stopped tinkering until I get some clarification.
And the numbers were about the same using my old piston rings, but I hadn't noticed anything wrong with the bike running.

That's a bit more worrying although it's within the 'repair limit' of 0.8. Have you checked the bottom of the sleeve as a comparison? That would give you an actual feel for the wear.
My old Matchless has 30,000 miles on its original bore and I can stand on the kickstart lever without it giving way. I hate to think how much wear there would be if I took it apart to measure it.... :-)
LM has a much better feel for wear on these motors than I do, so I would take his advice.
Although, if I was you I would be tempted to put it together and see how it runs. You would only lose the cost of a few gaskets.

Going the Mr. HONDA route the manual shows .023 to be the max before replacing the top and second ring.
The oil ring end gap shows .0314.
How did you measure the end gap?. .............lm

Used a feeler gauge I bought from Honda way back when, though, those specific gauges have never been used, so they arent worn down or anything.
