Bottom endBottom endSo I have a 1964 cb77 305 engine that I have some questions about... I removed the carbs and noticed that their was alot of corrosion in the intake ports... the engine turns over smoothly so I know that the cylinders aren't rusted too badly... my question is how difficult is it to take apart the bottom end and can I do it without replacing things.... my worry is that I'll take it apart and in doing so will need to replace bearings and seals that are hard to come by that would've been fine if left sealed... I've never done a motorcycle bottom end before so I don't know what all it entails... I know the basic stuff like that the transmission and all it's gears are in there but no specifics so any input will be wecome...
Thanks Brandon The first thing you shoud do if you havent already is buy Bill Silver's books and/or CD. He is a wealth of knowledge and has done a good job of putting it onto paper. After reading through the books you can decide if you want to do it yourself or have someone do it for you.
