It's just a collection of parts at moment. I wanted to collect all the parts before I commit to a build. Th only things I need now are the front and rear race numberplate brackets but they are pretty simple to replicate.

I have had the CYB right-hand camshaft half for about three years and have been searching for the left. It just turned up in Australia and is now on its way to the UK... :-)

The bike is going to be built as a sister to the 1961 CB72. Same color etc, as a Jekyll and Hyde pairing.....

moving forward, rims, mufflers, progress...

I'm looking forward to seeing Jekyll and Hyde as they progress G Man. I am restoring the CB160 and the CB77 as side by side big/little brother projects. Both are black. I hope to have them ready for the April 2016 Corvallis Vintage Motorcycle Show.
Barry Bligh says my mufflers will be done in about 10 weeks. In the meantime I've got plenty to keep me busy. My David Silver Spares order arrived Saturday and if we have a sunny day tomorrow I am going to take some pics of the assembled rear wheel.
The NOS right side tank cover arrived today and it is very nice. When I compared it to the left side I begin to wonder if it too had been NOS. They appear identical, front and back. I had assumed the lefty had been rechromed.

The CB160 is a lovely little bike which, I think, incorporated some good design improvements over the Superhawk in terms of ease of manufacture and reliability. I have a CB160 project waiting for me. One day......

I wonder if Barry has been approached about manufacturing oem style pipes and muffs for the CB160.
I laced up my rear wheel yesterday. My polished hub is not representative of the factory appearance but I rationalize that Honda would have done it if the bean counters would have allowed it. Also pictured is the NOS 30 tooth sprocket Taylor Honda sold me for the original back in the day price of 7 dollars.

As I am reading this, drinking my morning coffee from my 45th anniversary Taylor Honda coffee cup I'm thinking this year John Taylor Has been a Honda dealer for 51yrs!

In our climate, if you don't repolish the hubs for about a year, they will replicate the factory appearance. Nice work, Chase

Superb work. You've got a really good flat surface on the hub.

The rim and spokes look great.

I'm back in UK now. Time to re-start work on my project.
