cam chain tensioners
I have a new(ish) 'Tension, Cam Chain' (14500-268-010) and would very much like to replace the one currently in use. Although Honda shows the tensioner assembly with part numbers for the parts, there is no mention of the fasteners which seem to be rivets. Disassembling the assembly seems easy enough but does anyone have any suggestions about reassembly?
A forum like this should be a friendly place where people with a common interest help each other. Like the last time you responded to one of my postings, you come across as rather belligerent and angry for reasons I don't understand. I can't think of anything I may have written to offend you. If I have, please point it out and I'll apologise. Perhaps I'm misreading you. I hope I am.
Looking at the thread, I see that the posting I was responding to was not a response to my question but someone else's. That's why it appeared to be a non-sequitur. If you felt the need to reply you could have pointed out my mistake without the insults. I don't mean to distract from Farm Shop's topic, just have a question.
The wheel on my cam chain tensioner is quite worn and I see a couple of E-Bay listings for just the rubber wheel. It does not look as if Honda designed it to be replaceable. Have people successfully done this? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/261790983044?ssP ... 1423.l2648 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/231482280796?ssP ... 1423.l2648
