ca77 exhaust sagathose head pipes are the Asian repops that everyone sells. they do have a quite pronounced incorrect bend near the cylinder head, but other than that they will fit OK (mostly). I have used them with OEM mufflers as well as the Asian tapered ones and they will work OK.
Your problem (problems) is with the mufflers you are trying to fit up. they ain't right and no amount of dimpling is going to make them right. If you can position a muffler so that the forward end is close to where OEM is supposed to be, you will find that those head pipes will squish into place and work without hitting the engine. Good luck Randy I don't know where these pipes were made but one thing is for sure the left one cant fit as it is.
The problem is not at the head end the sweep is correct the at that end the problem is the sweep is not long enough. THE most important thing is to fit the pipe into the head and tighten up so its not touching anything or the pipe is not going to seal at the head. Also if it is fouling under the engine its going to put stress on the head ( nice ). I have looked at a lot of Dreams on you tube and google and there are loads of bikes where the left pipe is far too low. (same problem ) Also unless you can get an original pair of silencers its impossible to fit these aftermarket silencers in the correct position because the originals have an offset inlet and there are no originals available here so I have to work with what I have. When its done that exhaust will not be seen its under the engine and the silencers will be in the correct position not dragging along the ground. This is a photo of the bike as it arrived from the US. This is how you Americans look after and treat their beloved Honda Dreams. I bought it on the internet for less than £300 no one wanted it. Its is actually a lot worse than it looks here. The petrol tank is just a shell the bottom has rotted out, same with the swinging arm, The wheel rims have rotted through, the silencers have disintegrated. the engine was seized solid, the brakes had fused to the hubs with corrosion. and the handlebars were bent and the seat missing other than that its ok. I have rescued ( I don't like to use the term restored )about 50 old bikes from the 60s mostly old brits and this is by far the worst one. Lets face it its an old Jap bike not the crown jewels.
if its not broke don't fix it.

Don't know if Emgo mufflers are available in England but they are a pretty good choice for Dreams. Some of them have universal mounting brackets. Dunstall type for one. I put a pair of Emgo fishtails on a Dream I had a few years ago. Had to weld a mounting strap on each one to mount on original mounts. They fit very well with the aftermarket exhaust pipes. I have some original front pipes that aren't rusted through. pm me if interested. Just pay shipping. Mike Thanks for the kind offer Mike.
I have got fixed up with most of the parts I need. I got a some shocks from a member of this forum a few weeks ago. I bought a petrol tank as well, it looked great like a new old stock but when I put some water in it it had more holes in it than a net curtain, so I have been fixing it today.
