Cable Routing

Post by Eljeef » Wed Aug 20, 2014 6:56 am

Hi Hondaphiles. I have my front brake cable routed incorrectly on my 64 c78. It's coming through the hole in the fork body that the speedo cable should be coming through. Can someone please tell me the path that the front brake cable is supposed to follow? I have been trying to find a shot of the area but I have not had any luck to date.

On an unrelated note; do we call the bikes their designation according to frame serial code as in I have a C78 or do we go by the engine code as in I have a C77?
Regards, Jeff.

It goes in the right side of the fork with the throttle cable, across and down inside the forks left side inner plate past the fender, out and through the loop on the left side of the fender bracket.

They are all referred to as C77 or CA77. There are some changes, but not all happened when the frame went from C(A)77 to C(A)78 in mid 63.
