Ok sorry to ask this I have read all the questions on the subject of crank case pessure, im experiencing oil leaks from the right hand side, I have changed all the oil seals some twice. New clutch push rod and seals, the side cover has been off so many times. I have even had the right side cover off and used talc powder all over the oil seals with the engine running but could not see any oil leaks from any off the seals.

Now my question is with the oil filler dip stick removed and the bike on tick over should one feel a very slight blow out of the oil filler hole on the back of your hand ?.

No oil is coming from the top engine breather.

Bike is a 1964 CB77 restored (not by me).

I can live with this as I have had a 1964 Triumph 5TA for 40 years and that has always leaked but a Honda should not drip oil or is it just a old bike and a little incontinent.

I would expect to feel something with the filler out, even on a good engine. Throretically the 'pumping' from the two pistons cancel each other out but there will always be a tiny bit of blow by.

Where des it look like the oil is coming from? Where can you see it inside the cover. have you tried dusting along the actual joint line?

If it is leaking then the oil has to be coming from somewhere. Did you pull the rotor and starter clutch to look for leaks there?

Is the oil being thrown off any rotating parts?

Thanks G-Man for the reply, yep took off the stator and starter clutch replaced all oil seals I will take the cover off again and have another look and report back, thanks again mate for help.

Replaced the kickstart seal for the third time and still have oil dripping after a run, lost count how many times I have taken the cover off, any one wish to purchase a CB77.

Restored well that is a term I would use very loosely.

There is another thing wrong with this bike it has a tinkling sound when under load and that is another story, I may take the plunge and do a complete strip of the engine im not 100% happy with it. I was hopping not to have to drop the engine that is why I paid a good price for this bike back in Nov 2013, after selling my beloved T140 and that was one well modded and looked after bike.

Thanks Graham for your encouragement, I will stick with it I have no chose this will more than likely be the last bike I buy at my time of life and state of finance.
