Winker lenses from Thailand

Post by catterar » Sun Feb 09, 2014 8:36 am

Can anyone tell me if these will fit a CA78? I'm looking for rear winker lenses.

Thanks,
Bob

Winker lens

I ordered a set and they fit great. BTW the screws for the winkers are the same as the tail light.

Thanks for that information. I'll be buying a set tonight.
Where did you source the tail light screws?

conbs, what do you use for the actual light that resides inside the lens? Do you fashion one yourself? We'd like to go this route, rather than the aftermarket signals...

Thanks,

Screws

The tail light screws come up once in a while on eBay. I have also gotten some with partial tail lights or in "lots" of screws from disassembled bikes. I do not know if Honda still has them, but, that would definitely be worth a check before you do too much eBaying.

Winker fixture

Post by conbs » Mon Feb 10, 2014 10:30 pm

I bought a couple of original bulb holders on eBay. They weren't cheap. I have been thinking about making a template for people who want to fabricate one and posting it on this site. But..... I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I would guess you could find an old style (non LED) truck running light at NAPA or probably any parts store. The originals have mounting holes that line up with the screw holes in the luggage supports. You will see the holes when you take the "HONDA" plate off. There is no pressure on them so, a guy might even just get a fixture and glue it in place with silicone rubber or ??? You just have to make sure it has a ground.

Hope that helps.
