CA78 oil filter chain question

My oil filter/crank sprockets don't line up. It appears that the one on filter is about 0.1" further outboard than the one on the crank. The washer is on the outboard side of the filter also. Normal?

Look at the drive sprocket on your crank. The large spring washer may have been installed on the wrong side of the drive sprocket. It belongs outboard. I have opened up motors and found it installed incorrectly on the inboard side and it causes mis-alignment with sprocket wear. Thanks for the response. The spring washer is in the right location. It's the filter sprocket that is further outboard, not the crank sprocket. It actually appears that if I put the spring washer inboard (wrong) of the crank sprocket, everything would line up. Maybe the fiche is wrong? Thoughts?

Fiche wrong after all these years and hasn't been found.
CRANK/ sprocket, curved washer with the center hole out, star washer , nut.
Washer on filter goes to the outside end of the shaft. .....lm

just trying to understand your point. everything in my engine stacks up like the fiche yet my two sprockets are offset by about 0.1".
