Oil change for 305

Post by Cameronbrown1 » Thu Aug 29, 2013 5:22 pm

Hey guys first post here.

Just bought a custom 77 305 and need to change the oil. Was simply wondering how many quarts to add after its drained and cleaned. It should say on the case but its giving me nonsense so its down until I figure this out. Thanks much.

Don't you just fill up bit by bit until oil shows on the dipstick, then stop when it reaches the maximum marker.

Definitely go by the dipstick, but it takes about 1 1/2 quarts.
