Look to your left in the yellow margin and click on the "Literature" link and order the Bill Silver books. They are excellent and definitely worth the money. Another way to gather information is the search function on this forum. It's hard to tell how much it will cost to restore one of these beasts. Much depends on how mechanically inclined you are and how well equipped your shop is. You're way ahead of the game if you're handy, have the ability to blast, paint, polish, etc. and the patience to do it. For a lot of us this is therapy. There are many folks in this forum ready to help you out, but they'll lose patience with you if it appears that you're asking too many questions that have already been hashed out before. Remember, as I advised above, use the search function. Most of your questions will be answered without having to pose them. It will also please the rest of us if you'll post pictures of your bike. We all get off on seeing these machines in any and all states of disrepair. Good luck with your project.
