I pulled the carbs on a 1967 CL77 that's been sitting for a really long time. The slides were stuck and they're pretty nasty. I'm going to soak them, but are there any inexpensive new carbs that could serve as temporary replacements? I've seen some really cheap 26mm Keihin's for go karts w/ a hand choke. Would those work? They would cost roughly the same as a rebuild kit.

Can you get brand new carbs for a '67 CL77?

A carburetor is a carburetor. If it will give you roughly 14 to 1 fuel ratio and bolt up it will work. Of course jetting must be correct, venturi size about the same.
First take a good look at the ones you have. About the only thing that wears is the slide or slide bore. Other than that a needle and seat. This is old school stuff - and as bad as it looks it will usually work.
