Crankcase Cover screwCrankcase Cover screwDoes anyone know where I can purchase replacement screw for the left side crankcase? All of the heads on my screws were stripped so i drilled them out to get the cover off and bought a replacement set of screw off ebay. However, there are several long screws that did not come in the kit that I'm trying to replace.
Finding the longer oem phillips is tough (unless you want a set here: http://www.rimfire-eng.com/Bike_Mfg_Selection.htm )
You can find individual stainless socket heads long enough at McMaster Carr, Fastenal etc. 66 dream, 78 cb750k, 02fz1, 09 wing
You can purchase most of the screws from your local Honda dealership, just give them the part nubers, with the exception of the 106mm screw. I had the same problem. I went to ACE hardware and picked up the longest 6mm screw they had, went to the Honda dealer, picked up the longest one they had also. Then I cut the one from ACE, welded it to the Honda screw to make it 106mm and all is well. The ACE screw has a larger head that's why I cut the ACE screw, now all the screws match.
Rickytic engine case screw sourceI was able to find a complete set that was put together specifically for my CL77 from Rimfire Engineering, who specializes in screw sets for old bikes. I would highly recommend them if you want to replace your engine case screws. The screws came with a BOM and diagram showing which size screw goes in each hole and even came with the correct countersink for the oil filter cap.
