Clutch cable, bars, ignition switch nut

Post by mips » Thu Jan 31, 2013 10:36 pm

I need these three things for a cl77. Can't find any clutch cables anywhere. Bars would be ok with surface rust, but need some straight bars. Also need one or two ignition switch nuts. I don't have any and don't know where t find one.

Nuts on ignition switch

Post by conbs » Fri Feb 01, 2013 11:41 am

I suppose the nuts would be the old JIS thread. Anyone know for sure?

If so, you won't find them at the hardware store. But, you might be able to make some that will work.

Hello mips,
Nick from Ohio Cycle was able to supply an ignition swtch lockring several years ago & may have the other parts you need.
Retrobike had the correct cables that I needed. Terry &Carol were both very helpfull.
Just google: ohio cycle & retrobike!

It doesn't look like retrobikes has one for the CL, only CA. I'll call Ohio about the lockring.
Thanks

Classic Honda Resto has very nice pre-drilled flat bars.

I saw those bars (and ohio cycle has them too) but they are for superhawks. I haven't called nick yet for the ignition lock nut yet. Going to wait until I need to order more than one thing ;). I found one clutch cable on eBay (came from Thailand). Haven't fit it yet, hope it works.

I'm guessing that retro bikes has sold a lot of it's CL77 stuff. I seem to remember them having mufflers months back, but don't anymore. I think they have the early rear brake cables, but not the clutch.
